Scaling your business in a small niche is the topic of this week’s episode of eCommerce Uncensored.
We received a question from one of our listeners who sells inexpensive products to a very small, specific market.
The question was how to scale a business that does not necessarily have expensive products to sell or a large consumer base.
Should the business try to sell more of the same products to existing customers or create more expensive options?
Before we get into the main topic though, a lot of our listeners have been reaching out to us about the amazing success they’ve been having with Klaviyo. We’re thrilled that so many store/business owners are benefitting from our favorite email relationship building platform.
For those concerned that their business is not big enough for such a platform, NONSENSE! Klaviyo is actually optimized to work with small businesses!
Now, back to our main topic of scaling a business selling niche products.
There are many strategies to scale a business, including everything from up-selling your customers on other products, creating blogs using different products, to expanding your target market to include other demographics.
The best strategy depends on the details of your business.
In this listener’s case, the key thing to keep in mind is that they are already successfully selling and have a customer base, regardless of how big or small.
Take advantage of that!
Continuing to sell to existing customers is the easiest way to increase sales and grow your business.
In Episode 118, we cover several strategies for scaling that have been successful for our current and past clients.
