Kevin discusses how many companies can be wary of sending plain text emails, especially when they are use to creating graphically appealing emails.
Many companies pride themselves on the design of their offer emails, making them less open to the idea of a more simple, straightforward format.
The problem is that there is a limit to how many offer emails you can send before you start annoying people.
Plain text emails give you a reason to email your list more often.
Jason evaluates a plain text email that he recently sent for one of our clients and how effective it was for them.
Kevin mentions how plain text emails can also be a way to ween out people on your list that are costing you money and not engaging with your brand.
Paul discusses how emails that do not necessarily have offers can also have a element of good design to them.
Kevin and Jason support Paul’s statement by bringing up examples companies that do just that.
In conclusion, plain text emails can really bring a personal touch and help you connect with you list. Sending offers are definitely important but it is also good to just try to engage with your list without pushing an offer on them.
