How A New Outdoor Game Went from $0 to $2 Million in 2 Years

We interview Greg Meade, CEO of CrossNet. Greg takes us through his steps from starting with his product idea, and getting it to where the product is today, which is a $2 million dollar company.

The company started off as a makeshift volleyball net that him and his friends made up, and they knew they wanted to bring it to the market. They made up a prototype of it and got a supplier.

Greg said that what got the product going was that they made a high quality site, ran ads, collected influencers, and figured out target markets. They changed up their messaging to target their best audiences.

Greg dove into getting influencers to promote their product and he found it successful. With this, he was able to go from starting at $0 to a $2 million dollar business. He says the biggest catalyst was to not being scared to scale advertisements, this is where the company found the biggest return. He says do not be scared to spend money.

He explained how consumers used snapchat and instagram to show the product, which is free advertisement and self promotes itself. People see it and advertise it, making it go viral. He also found companies that were wanting to sell and promote their product. Places such as Amazon, Target, Walmart….etc the company’s product “CrossNet” can be found. He emphasizes to outsource as much as possible.
