Almost every client we have has asked us the same thing about growing an email list:
“Why don’t we just buy a list already filled with emails?”
Let us save you money, time, and energy by telling you to not do it. The problem with that is you have no idea where these emails are coming from, no idea if they’re real, or even if those email addresses are even still working. This goes for social media followers and likes as well. This might seem like it is an easy fix, but it will cause a lot of problems down the road.
Let’s say that you choose to follow this route of getting as many people on your email list as possible, these consumers are not giving you value to your analytics. This is a false lead because these are not actual potential consumers. Your “open rates” and “call to actions” based off this will NOT change your sales. The trends and habits are inaccurate and do not reflect your real sales. It makes an unstable business.You want longevity quality, consumers, not short term, quantity consumers. They have no long term return rate. It is best to build your own audience and list.When it comes to just sending out emails that you just buy, your audience doesn’t trust you, they become skeptical. The health of your list becomes damaged, you have to be patient, you want long term consumers!
